Sprint Entrants
The 2009 Wheels On Wide Bay Street Sprints and Motoring Festival will
once again follow the successful format of the previous years with the organisers the Australian Motorsport Enthusiasts Club Inc, ensuring that race fans have plenty to see on
and off the track at the Maryborough Showgrounds on the weekend of the June the 27th and 28th 2009.
A full field of 175 cars will be racing both days from 7.00 am.
Event Secretary Mr Richard Ryland explains
"The early start each day will ensure that competitors are able to gain the maximum amount of enjoyment from the challenging one kilometre track, whilst allowing time for the very popular Drift car demonstrations, as well as the exciting coloured tyre display. Off track activities include Trade Stands, Children's Rides, Plenty to eat and drink with two Licensed Bar Areas. A fun weekend for the whole family."
Following the success of the inaugural Show and Shine and db racing. Mr Ron Whelan, Chief Judge of the car show anticipates in excess of 250 vehicles competing in a variety of classes, for trophies and bragging rights in 2009.
